In partnership with Master’s Apprentice, the HVAC certification program at CrossPurpose provides students with in-depth education, hands-on experience and other marketable job skills that will make you a desirable candidate when applying for HVAC jobs. You will graduate from the pre-apprenticeship program with the experience and skills you need to begin the next phase of your HVAC career.

The free HVAC training program begins with valuable professional development training. These classes prepare you for the workforce, from learning interview skills to conflict resolution and productive communication. Pre-apprenticeship
Upon completion of the workplace development training, you will begin your HVAC pre-apprenticeship instruction. Our free HVAC training classes and certification program will teach you the basics of installation, maintenance and repairing air conditioning, heating and ventilation systems for residential and commercial heating and cooling customers. Your program includes hands-on experience, HVAC/refrigeration training and education on the use of a variety of tools and HVAC equipment. Students’ work is overseen by professional HVAC tradesmen with years of experience in the industry. CrossPurpose provides all of this training completely free of charge. We will even provide a small stipend during your training to help you focus on your education. We believe in our students and we will work with you to help you succeed in your goals.
At the end of your training, you will be ready to:
- Begin work as an HVAC apprentice
- Understand basic code requirements
- Understand basic electricity safety
- Understand jobsite safety
- Install, maintain and repair various heating, cooling and ventilation systems
- Use specialty hand tools and machinery
- Work with metal or plastic fabrication

Course Requirements:
- Meet all CrossPurpose admissions requirements
- Complete a background check
- 6th grade Math/Reading level
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Manual dexterity
- Physical stamina
- Some felonies and drug charges can be an issue
- No domestic violence, assault, or child abuse charges on your record
- Shot records and TB test
- A desire to work full-time in the HVAC industry
Course Details:
Class Schedule
- Monday-Thursday, 9am – 1pm for first 6 weeks of personal development
- Wednesday evenings from 6pm – 8pm for duration of the program for class participation with other students.
Upon starting your HVAC Skill Track:
- 6 weeks of hands-on HVAC training school in Denver at the Master’s Apprentice workshop.
After completing your HVAC skills training program, you will continue on-the-job training in the apprenticeship program. You will be on your way to obtaining the HVAC certification Colorado requires for your future career.
