What you will learn
Once you have completed your personal skills training, you will move on to learning basic carpentry skills. You will learn how to work with electric hand tools, woodworking machinery and other carpentry tools. Your training may include the construction, repair or replacement of structures, as well as work with wood, plywood, wallboard and other materials.
By the end of your preliminary carpenter pre-apprenticeship training, you will be able to:

Course Details
Class Schedule
- Monday-Thursday, 9am – 1pm for first 6 weeks of personal development
- Wednesday evenings from 6pm – 8pm for duration of the program for class participation with other students.
Upon starting your carpenter Skill Track:
6 weeks of hands-on carpenter training in Denver at the Master’s Apprentice workshop. After completing your carpentry skills training, you will continue on the job training in the apprenticeship program on your way to becoming a Colorado carpenter.

- 6th grade Math/Reading level
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Manual dexterity
- Physical stamina
- Some felonies and drug charges can be an issue
- No domestic violence, assault, or child abuse charges on your record
