Our Board

Todd Berk brings decades of entrepreneurial and executive experience in the semiconductor and real estate investment sectors to the CrossPurpose Board of Directors. He draws on his strengths in strategic planning, business growth, operational leadership, and developing people to support the organization’s mission. Serving with CrossPurpose has profoundly impacted Todd, deepening his passion for helping people discover their potential and build meaningful, self-sustaining careers. Todd and his wife, Nancy, have three sons and are active in their family and communities in Colorado and Texas.

Debbie Brown is President of the Colorado Business Roundtable, a coalition of Colorado’s leading employers working to strengthen the state’s economic competitiveness and expand career pathways and prosperity. She brings a long career in public policy and strategic communications consulting and holds a business degree from Northern Arizona University. She has served on several community boards and is passionate about advancing economic opportunity for Coloradans. She is the proud mother of three grown children.

Ken is a Managing Director of Utility Operations at Twenty First Century Utilities (TFC), a Power and Utility investment firm that specializes in acquiring, operating and optimizing moderate-sized regulated utilities. Ken has more than 25 years experience in the utility industry and has served in a variety of senior leadership roles including Vice President, Marketing and Customer Solutions for Xcel Energy. Ken holds a BS in Management from Golden Gate University and an MBA from St. Mary’s College. He is a member of Colorado Community Church, an avid cyclist and resides in Castle Rock, Colorado along with his wife Lucrecia and daughter Anapaula.

Jason Gaulden is founder of Gaulden Group LLC, where he advises organizations on strategy, growth, and impact. He brings more than 25 years of leadership experience spanning philanthropy, education, workforce development, and economic mobility. His previous roles include leadership positions at the Daniels Fund, El Pomar Foundation, America Succeeds, and Untapped Potential Project. Jason holds a B.A. in Sociology from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. Based in Denver, he is a proud father with a longstanding commitment to strengthening communities and expanding opportunity across Colorado.

Sawyer has a background in Public Relations and Legislative Advocacy and specializes in working with non-profit charter schools. Since moving to Denver in 2017, she has served as a volunteer Ally with CrossPurpose. She holds a degree in Professional Writing from The University of North Carolina at Wilmington and lives in Denver with her husband, Clay.

Brian served in pastoral ministry for thirteen years and was on faculty at Denver Seminary for five years working on student spiritual formation and leadership development. Today he is the VP of Formation at Denver Institute for Faith & Work, leading the 5280 Fellowship, church partnerships, and professional networks working on civic and industry issues. His vocation includes moving good ideas into a more meaningful life through reflection, relationships, and conversation – whether that applies to God, work, leadership, the Church, or Liverpool Football Club. He stays busy with three dogs, two daughters, and one very soulful and competent wife.

Julian Hsu is a Family Physician and Clinical Informaticist. He works for Kaiser Permanente and is on the clinical faculty for the University of Colorado Medical School. He has held various Board positions for his medical group and the Health plan and has served on the Board of Visitors for Wheaton College. He is a graduate of Wheaton College and Rush Medical School and is married with one adult son. Julian grew up in Hong Kong as a missionary kid. He is excited about the opportunity to be a part of the CrossPurpose Board.

John currently works as a Coordinator of Strategic Initiatives at Zeppelin Development, a real estate and community developer in Denver, Colorado. Starting as a missionary kid and someone fascinated with “third-cultures”, John studied Community Economic Development at Seattle Pacific University, and has since developed a strength in business operations for the empowerment and enablement of others. He, his wife and two children have served actively at CrossPurpose and Providence Bible Church since 2016.

Tiffany is a Senior Store Manager for FXO, responsible for revenue, profit, growth, expense control, marketing execution and associate development. She has over 15 years of business leadership experience in multiple environments. Tiffany served as Director for Single Mom’s Night Out and as an Ally for Cross Purpose where she also taught classes to incoming Leaders. Tiffany’s leadership and passion for results grants her the ability to give back to the community that once served her.

Faith currently serves as an RN Clinical Coordinator at Lutheran Medical Center. She has her Bachelors of Nursing and is currently pursuing her MSN in Leadership. She was raised in Missouri and came to Denver as a travel nurse in 2006. She has spent the majority of her nursing career caring for heart patients. She has a passion for food as the foundation of good health and empowering others to view food as such. She and her husband have thoroughly enjoyed their experience of being Allies with Cross Purpose.

Jeff and his family have been involved with CrossPurpose since its inception. Jeff and his wife Leslie live with their two boys in Highlands Ranch Colorado. Jeff has a bachelors in business administration and marketing and has owned a small business in Littleton since 2004 while also serving on several non-profit boards. He brings his passion for leadership and people development to the CrossPurpose board and is humbled by the opportunity to serve this amazing organization.

Bill Kurtz is CEO of DSST Public Schools, a charter school management organization that is opening ten secondary schools on five campuses in Denver. He founded the original DSST campus, a leader in STEM education nationwide, with a 100 percent college acceptance rate for graduates over the last 10 years. Bill was recognized as the 2010 Entrepreneur of the Year by the New Schools Venture Fund at their national summit in Washington D.C. He serves on the Advisory Council of the University of Southern California’s Rossier School of Education MAT program. Before his career in education, he worked as an investment banker at JP Chase in New York City. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Princeton University with a B.A. and earned an M.A. from Columbia University’s Teachers College in educational administration and leadership.

Adenike Saliu started CrossPurpose as a leader in 2019 and got an entry-level medical assisting job with UCHealth after graduating in 2020. Adenike was among the first cohort to start Legacy Fellowship program in 2022. Before graduating from the Fellowship in 2025, Adenike completed her master’s degree in Healthcare Leadership from Western Governors University and became a homeowner in 2024, all with the help of CrossPurpose. Adenike is presently a lead medical assistant at the UCHealth University of Colorado Hospital, the Metro-Denver Engage Co-chair for the UCHealth Emerging Professionals Group (EPG) and a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE).
